What the creator of this video doesn't know is Emigrant Lake is a lake made to distribute water throughout the Rogue River Valley. The water travels through the valley in canals overseen by the Talent Irrigation District. Water is used to irrigate the aricultural fields which used to be thousands of acres of pear orchards. The lake goes dry every winter as the water is used up and replenishes each spring from the snowpack. In the summer it is extremely pretty and is used for many different water activities from fishing to boating and swimming.

I was here a year ago, a lot of ticks in this area, check your clothing and shoes before you get in the car, check your pets carefully, they hide in the trees and bushes and drop down onto you. My dad used to "floss" salmon back in the day when they were so plentiful you could walk across on their backs. My 99 year old uncle caught a 20 lb chinook upstream from here, still a good river to fish but a shadow of its former self.

Wow, wish I could fly my drone as well as you. How did you control it in the coastal wind? 3 drones and the second it's off the ground, it hightails it. Never have been able to get any of them to just hover for a sec.

Are there any laws that would prevent you from having flown that across the street to the grocery store parking lot and hovering over and filming the shoppers? It would be interesting to see how many notice a drone above them. That's a nice drone you have, clean, crisp picture. Wish I could afford it. Looks like a blast. If I had one I'd fly it into a pasture with cows, goats, horses, etc.

Can you go back up there in that same area and zoom in on that other side at 9min 58 sec and give the prospectors out here a close up of that rock type and to the left of there LOL. Also great vid over at the Gold Nugget Park out side Gold Hill. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for your videos. I lived there for 45 years near this area. just moved 2 years ago and i want to come back ( if i can ever find work there again ). If you could do one close to there for me near sweet rd n mc andrews. would love to see my old place n how its doin. Even though they are building a new home there now. lol. Anyway GREAT job your doin. Would love to own one of those my self. Have lots of fun with that!
